Who's That Girl?

Posted By Jamie Scott ~ Jul 5, 2010 7:12PM
If You Can Dream It, You Can Do It

Starring Jamie Scott

Weeknights at 7:00pm, Only on the MTPG-W Network

If I had the amazing opportunity of hosting my own TV show, I would put my entire heart and soul into educating and inspiring young women to pursue their dreams and explain to them why dreams are so important to have. As we all know, everyone has dreams which is wonderful...however, dreams take action and do not come true without hard-work and perseverance. This generation of girls look to the media for ideas on how to impress the boys and be part of the so called "in-crowd". In my hour-long television show, I would use all my power to influence those who feel their dreams are too big to accomplish. In my mind, nothing is impossible and if you dream big enough...your impossbile becomes a reality!

I'm Back :)

Posted By Jamie Scott ~ Jul 3, 2010 10:34PM

Hello there my friends! I am so so sorry I have not blogged in a few days...I took a quick trip to Mackenzie, B.C which is just two hours North of Prince George and they do not have access to any computers...unless you have a computer or laptop where you are staying. And we did not.

However, it was a great trip :) I helped my friends renovate their rental house, played beach volleyball, and went for a hike up a small mountain that I have forgotten the name of! It was great to get away but i'm glad I am back :)

Anyways, this next week is going to be very busy for me...it will be a week filled with packing, final touch-ups, planning, and enjoying my venture to become Miss Teen Canada-World-2010! It is only another 5 days until I hop on the plane and that is where my journey begins :) Wish me luck everyone! I am so excited to meet the girls. I have already been in contact with a few of them and they are all stunning, amazing, and down-right fabulous ladies who totally deserve this adventure, as do the rest of us!

Well i'm very tired considering I just got back about 10 minutes ago so i'm going to sleep now and start my week tomorrow!

Goodnight World! --Jamie xoxo <3

Rain rain go away....

Posted By Jamie Scott ~ Jun 29, 2010 8:11PM

Heyy everyone, so if you are anywhere there is sun right now, consider yourself lucky. It has rained here non-stop for the almost the past week. Now don't get me wrong...I love the rain! However, when everything starts to get soggy and soaked, well lets just say i'm having mixed feelings about our weather!  Yuck hey?

Well i've had enough of the rain...onto happier things! The other day I was feeling a tad bit nervous because of the pageant getting so close, i'm sure quite a few of us are starting to feel that way! So ladies, my advice is this..

-Call up your best friend, or even just take the evening to yourself! Head over to your local drug store and purchase a facial, your favorite colour of nail polish, a chocolate bar (if you like chocolate), then go rent a good movie :)

I had a "Me" night last night and I can't even explain how great I felt when I woke up this morning! Even if you are not stressed at all, give it a try! It's a great way to unwind!

Enjoy it girls! You all deserve it!

xoxo-Jamie

As it gets closer...:)

Posted By Jamie Scott ~ Jun 27, 2010 2:14PM

Hello everyone! So I finally have my flights booked, thanks to Trendsetters Hair Studio and Day Spa! Only another 12 days before I am on my way to Toronto and the Miss Teen Canada-World Pageant. I have been looking forward to this since Febuary and it is getting closer by the minute!

I am working towards improving my second launguage, French, and I am still doing my very best to learn the German language but my goodness is that ever hard! Lol, oh well...who doesn't love a challenge?

Oh by the way, after my struggle of choosing which dress to wear to the pageant, I have come to a decision! :) But I will not say what it looks like! You will all see it at the evening gown portion of the competition! All I will say is...I ABSOLULTY LOVE IT!!!

Now I have some kind of sad news to report...the dance classes I teach have ended as of June 23rd. It was a fun last class though :) we had a huge "Water Dance Fight". At least that is what the girls called it, haha. Now I am going to have to start going to a gym conisdering I will no longer be getting my weekly exercise! At least not until September, which is when classes start back up again!

Well that is my update for the past few days!

Au Revoir!!

My Beautiful City, Prince George, B.C

Posted By Jamie Scott ~ Jun 21, 2010 6:05PM

Hii everyone!! So today I would like to tell you all about my lovely city and what makes it so great here :) Well, being Miss Teen Prince George you might think I just have to say it is great for the sake of my title...but i`ve lived here for 18 years and loved every single second of it. Not only do we have goregoues lakes and parks, but we have 2 swimming pools, a 6 cinemma movie theater, beautiful golf courses, and some of the nicest, most special people I have ever had the honour of meeting.

Of course I love hanging out with my friends, thats a given! However, I have a few other favorite hang-out spots :) One of them being the Pine Center Mall, I mean, what girl doesn't love shopping right?? And when I need to take a load off and just unwind...I couldn't think of anything more relaxing than staying a night or two at the ever-so-glamourous "Treasure Cove and Casino Hotel"!  And if your not up for a stay at a hotel (which I can understand...it gets a bit expensive) you can always just pack a tent, good food (SMORES of course!!!) and great friends and stay the night at one of the seven beautiful lakes we have here! Oh also, if your not into lakes and camping...thats ok because you always have the option of being pampered at my favorite salon and also one of my sponsors...TrendSetters. They do the best hair and make-up job. Even look at my Miss Teen Prince George pictures if you don' t believe me! Anyways...I think that is everything you need to know about Prince George for now...

I would like to say thank you to my sponsors for everything they have done for me..So thank you very much TrendSetters, Sweet Dreams Limosuine, Pine Center Mall, and Ohh Chocolat!. You are all truly amazing for making my dream come true! You'll never know how greatful I am for your undying support!

I will have a big page of pictures of the city posted soon...as soon as they load, lol.

Silent Auction in April.

Posted By Jamie Scott ~ Jun 20, 2010 9:36PM

Heyy everybody, sorry I haven't blogged in a day or two. I've been really sick with the flu. I'm just thankful I got it when I did and not right before the pageant (knock on wood!!!)! Anyways, so I would like to tell you all about my silent auction that happened April 17th. It was my very first fundraiser and also my most successful one so far. I had donations from all sorts of different companies and tons of people were interested...yay! The most successful item that went was a 2-hour limo ride and it went to a man who planned on giving it to his daughter. She had recently been through a tough time in her life and I felt she deserved it more than anyone. The highest bid went on a "Girls Night Out" package and my lips are sealed on the price it went for ;) Oh, and not only were there items to bid on but we also had face-painting and a jellybean count! The young boy who won the jellybean count was just thrilled, it was so cute! It was a long but very exciting day, I even had my best friends Sarah and Tristan there to help me out! Here are some pictures of the day! Enjoy!

Shirley Bond :)

Posted By Jamie Scott ~ Jun 16, 2010 11:32PM

So the other day I had the honour of meeting Prince George's MLA, Shirley Bond!! And not only did I get to meet her but she has asked me to collaborate on various events around our city such as the "Big Bike Ride" for the Heart and Stroke Foundation, planting our community garden for the homeless, the CNIB (Canadian National Institute of the Blind) luncheon, and that is all I know for now. I will have pictures posted soon :)

My Past Few Months.

Posted By Jamie Scott ~ Jun 16, 2010 11:07PM

Heyy everyone, so I finally got my blog up and running! It took a little while but thanks to the company "Computer Nerds" everything worked out for the best!

Anyways, these past 3 months have been veryyy busy, rewarding, and just downright amazing! As for my fundraising, I have hosted a chocolate fondue night and a silent auction...the both of them turned out excellent! At this very moment I am working on hosting a Drug-Free Teen Dance. I do not have a set date quite yet but I will in the near future :) And I know it will be a turn out because I already have about 100-150 people wanting to buy tickets! YAYY!

I have volunteered at countless schools around Prince George. At one of the schools I even got the wonderful opportunity to help a Chinese exchange student learn how to speak english fluently. I also spent lots of time teaching handi-capped and disabled students how to interact with others outside of the classroom. Watching them become more confident as time went on was one of the most magical things I have ever experienced and it is something I will hold close to me for the rest of my life. I also volunteer at the B.C SPCA. However, they are a charity I have been volunteering for since I was 11 years old so that is really nothing new but still very exciting to me :)

I am also a ballet instuctor at the "Dance Your Heart Out" studio in Prince George. I love watching the kids learn new things and get excited about it and I get a great workout at the same time haha! I will have a new post up tomorrow and thanks for being so patient everyone! I'm sorry I could not have started this earlier but now I am going to make sure I blog everyday!
